About this event

Our friends at the 1750 Isle of Wight Courthouse have extended an invitation to the Regency Society of Virginia for volunteers to participate in their annual "Court House Days" event.  Each year, the group puts on a theatrical performance based on a case that was held in the historic courthouse.  Since the group tends to focus on the colonial period (which constituted the bulk of the building's use as an active courthouse between 1750-1800), they are eager to welcome those who have attire better suited to this year's performance, which is set in the Federal period.

Volunteers would be assisting in welcoming visitors to the courthouse as well as providing an appropriately early 19th century ambiance.  All volunteers will also have the opportunity to watch the performance which will take place inside the historic courtroom.  While you are welcome to stay for the whole of the day, you may attend as your schedule requires.  (For planning's sake, we ask that you give us a general idea of when you believe you will be able to be there by registering.)

Registration is highly recommend (though not required) so that those wishing to participate may be notified of any relevant information regarding the event.
